![]() Beyond Osseointegration : Clinical Use of Distraction and BMPs
Instructor: Martin Chin, D.D.S. (Visiting from San Francisco,
California)
Dates: June 18-21, 2008 (SOLD OUT)
Course Description
Topics:
Modern tissue engineering techniques using distraction and rhBMP-2 represent new and important treatments for the dental implant patient. Distraction can replace large portions of the jaw not possible with conventional grafting. The course will focus on the treatment planning and surgical technique necessary for effective augmentation by distraction. The use of rhBMP-2 is a major advancement in reconstructive surgery. Using morphogenetic agents adds another powerful method to achieve skeletal reconstruction. The course will review the biology of morphogenetic agents and then demonstrate their clinical use for bone augmentation and enhancement of dental implant healing. These advanced bone reconstruction methods change how we are able to place implants. The course will demonstrate advanced methods to place implants into compromised sites. Course Package Information
