The surgical microscope has become the standard of care in today's endodontic practice and is also found in many leading periodontal practices. Few general practitioners have incorporated the surgical microscope into their daily routine. This course will demonstrate how a general practitioner can utilize the surgical microscope to enhance their diagnostic abilities and also provide their patients with a higher level of quality.

The course will:

• Provide you with a working knowledge of how to use the various components of the surgical microscope.
• Allow you to experience improved endodontic access and canal location.
• Demonstrate how the microscope can enhance your diagnostic skills in:
  • Diagnosing failed restorations
  • Diagnosing loose crowns
  • Locating fractures in teeth
  • Locating residual decay
• Show you how to prepare a better crown
• Show you how to fabricate a better provisional
• Allow you to finish resin restorations to a higher level
• Allow you to practice micro-dentistry by using fissurotomy burs.
