A beautiful smile is magic, creating one is not. This two-day hands-on workshop is designed to take the mystery out of creating a beautiful smile. Don Cornell's demonstrations will focus on the materials and techniques required for achieving life like ceramic restorations that mimic the subtle characteristics of natural dentition.
This course will teach participants a minimalist approach to material selection and usage, the keys to not only esthetic success, but financial success as well.
Participants will fabricate two maxillary central incisors, one pressed all ceramic and one pressed to metal. In addition, participants will fabricate a maxillary first molar pressed to metal. Participants will also learn:
- Analysis of natural tooth characteristics
- Development of step-by-step method for communicating essential esthetic information
- How to properly translate what is seen in the natural tooth into ceramic materials (based on light dynamics)
- How to create crown contouring for natural tooth forms
- The development of surface topography, texture and luster to match surrounding dentition
