Course Description
In this six day, two part, continuum course, Mr. Mehrhof portrays his theoretical and practical approach to a fixed implant-retained full-arch restoration. Emphasis will be placed on the philosophy of his PBLG-structure as well as
the importance of backward planning in consideration of the dynamic aspects
of nature. Practical Part 1
Practical Part 2
Course Abstract The clinical success of osseointegrated implants has been well documented. The focus in implant-supported restorations has shifted to the satisfaction of increasing aesthetic demands within the shortest period of time with the most predictable procedures. As we all strive to shorten treatment time and minimize the number of visits per patient our team has established treatment protocols for restorations in edentulous patients. These protocols permit a predictable treatment plan and outcome considering aesthetic and biological factors. The bone morphology - including bone quantity and bone quality - is the leading prospect of all treatment modalities. Adequate bone volume for placement of implants is imperative. Surgical procedures to enhance the bone volume and prosthetic driven implant placement will be discussed. Case presentations will demonstrate our concept used for aesthetic implant-supported restorations including surgical, prosthetic and technical aspects. The preoperative steps of planning and treatment are shown as well as the results we have achieved with this method emphasizing on treatment modalities for removable vs. fixed implant supported superstructures.
