Course Description
Mr. Prandtner presents a stimulating two-day hands-on workshop combining the fundamentals of aesthetics and the most current technologic methods used in creating life-like porcelain crowns and implant abutments. This course is designed for dental technicians and dentists. Participants will focus on clinically relevant information that is needed to provide successful advanced techniques for the creation of aesthetic and functional implant and crown restoration. Also, participants will fabricate two maxillary central incisors. Number eight will be a crown preparation and number nine will be an implant restoration. Key elements covered in this course are: - Creating and analyzing emergence profile. - Designing a wax-up that will serve as a diagnostic aesthetic guide. - Custom abutment with tooth-specific contours for site- specific needs. - Shape, surface texture and lustre to match surrounding dentition. - What to consider when you create a surgical guide. This workshop combines lecture & hands-on formats along with a small class size to provide individual, needs-specific mentoring from instructors to participants. Students are encouraged to bring a challenging or interesting case for review with the instructor and possible sharing with the entire class. During the course, Creation Porcelain will be utilized.
