Rich Hooper, Director
Rich Hooper graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a Bachelor
of Science Degree in Operations Management with an emphasis on Marketing. He
has worked in the destination management industry planning large tours, concerts
and special events for over twelve years. His company arranged tours and events
for over 30,000 people per year to destinations worldwide. He started as a sales
manager and quickly grew into his management role of running the operations
of the company and eventually becoming co-president and owner. In 1996, his
company merged with GET Travel Corporation and he became Executive Vice President
overseeing the company's operations, marketing and national sales. Rich became
Director of IDEA in January of 2004. He lives in Walnut Creek, California with
his wife Barbara and his two sons, Shayne and Colin.
